The unified user interface makes switching back and forth between Mac and iPad an easy affair, largely thanks to the Photoshop-like interface both versions are trying to mimic.
#ARTSTUDIO PRO IMPORT BRUSHES SOFTWARE#
Its developer, Lucky Clan created an interface that isn’t only similar to Adobe’s solution in its appearance but is almost identical on desktop and mobile – a rare occurrence among today’s watered-down software available on the iPad. It has been around since 2010, when the first iPad was released, but it got re-released last year rewritten from the ground up to serve those Apple-oriented digital professionals looking for a more affordable Photoshop alternative. Working on an inked drawing section using the desktop version of Artstudio ProĪrtstudio is primarily a natural painting program that mimics true drawing and painting tools for those who wish to use their iPad as a digital canvas to create art. We’ll provide a much more detailed review of each iterations of Artstudio Pro in the near future however, we’d like to give you a short introduction in advance to help you decide if it’s worth your consideration. Here comes an interesting piece of software that tries to be your Photoshop on your Mac and your Procreate on your iPad. To haul creative professionals away from Photoshop, one needs to offer a serious set of tools in an easy to operate package, and must have a presence on both desktop and tablet devices that are inching towards becoming the creative platform of the future. Several software companies must feel the same way about this, because more and more contenders are trying to challenge Adobe by offering serious alternatives to its complex solutions. Since – strictly speaking – we don’t need most of the photography-based features that Photoshop has on offer, we would salute having its drawing-specific feature set, that is relevant for our work, available as a separate purchase at a much cheaper price point. Although we adore Adobe Photoshop for being the most robust solution to ink our drawings in a raster-based environment, we must pay $9.99/€ 12.69 each month to have access to it. To delete unwanted brushes tap File->Open, choose "Brushes", select brush to delete, and "Delete" it.Digital color pastel texture created and applied in Artstudio Pro for iPadĪlthough we at digital EPIGRAPHY are committed to the software that works best for our field and studio drawing needs, there are instances when one needs to experiment with alternatives. Then File->Export, choose "PNG", and "Add to custom brushes" The fastest way to add new brush from image is: Now that I have many custom brushes, how do you delete the unwanted brushes? The brush then appears in your brush Groups/Custom brushes. Import the ABR brush image onto a transparent layer and then File/Export/PNG/Add to custom brushes.
#ARTSTUDIO PRO IMPORT BRUSHES HOW TO#
I got the app but how do I get the brushes in art studio I've unzipped the file and they appear in the abr viewer app but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them in art studioĪfter 20 minutes of plunking around I found the answer to my question. In new devices with RAM 512MB (iPad 2, iPhone 4/4s) or 1024MB (iPad 3, ipad 4, iphone 5) it should extract even very big, images, like 3000x3000. Is there a size limit to the brushes imported? Many custom Photoshop brushes from ABR files range 100 to 1000+px

Thank you, everything is running perfectly now.

The other way it to download and unzip file on computer, and upload ABR files to ABR Viewer folder on iPhone/ipad using file sharing in iTunes.
#ARTSTUDIO PRO IMPORT BRUSHES FREE#
There is also lite free version of FileApp. It will unzip ABR from ZIP, and will open ABR Viewer, as it is associated with ABR file extension.
#ARTSTUDIO PRO IMPORT BRUSHES INSTALL#
If ABR is packed in ZIP file, you should first install one of the file managers app, i'm using FileApp Pro ($6.99): So I guess my question is how to get brushes from Safari onto this app (and eventually ArtStudio) WITHOUT going on iTunes or my computer.

It shows know notion of 'Abr Viewer' app, what I want it on. Whenever I click "download" and it shows what I'm about to download (the brush's ABR zip file) the only form of acquiring it is through "myMedia" (the other app I have). I cannot for the life of me find how to download the ABR files I want onto this app. Although what I may ask might sound stupid I would like to know this: us/app/abr-viewer-view-extract-brushes/i. People are sharing their brushes in ABR format for example here:ī/resources/applications/psbrushes/?o. It can be very helpful to import external brushes, for example downloaded from Internet, to ArtStudio. It allows to view and extract brushes from ABR file (Paintshop file with brushes) to Photos/Clipboard/iTunes/Email. I'd like to announce new small app from Lucky Clan.
